How To: Look Up Classes

Directions

1. Login to InsideBC
2. Navigate to the My Account tab
3. From the Banner Self-Service card, select Registration Self-Service
4. In the Add or Drop Classes menu, select Lookup Classes
5. Select a Term using the dropdown field.
6. Click the continue button
7. In the Browse Classes window, you may search for classes by subject and course number, course number, college, campus, meeting days/time, instructional method,, and textbook cost/transfer area.
8. When you start to type in a field, it will populate with choices to select.
9. You may click Search, but we recommend selecting Advanced Search.
10. In the Advanced Search, you can limit your results by part of term, instructor, Schedule type, keyword, meeting days, and units.
11. Tips:
    • Be careful with Campus as it may limit your search more than you wish.
    • Select Bakersfield in College Field
    • Select “Sections Open for Registration”
12. After making your selections, click Search.
13. Scroll through the classes to see what is available.
14. You cannot add classes from this screen. Note the CRN to easily add it when you register for classes.
15. When you wish to search for another class, use the Search Again button at the top right and change the parameters of the search to look for classes in other subjects.
